PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high detection sensitivity and high accuracy of position detection in touch detection and to increase a detection speed.SOLUTION: A touch detection device 1 includes: a plurality of driving areas L and R including a plurality of driving electrodes COML extending in an X direction, arrayed in a Y direction crossing the X direction, and applied with a driving signal Vcom for detecting at least one of proximity to and contact with an object and a plurality of touch detection electrodes TDL extending in the Y direction, arrayed in the X direction, and outputting a touch detection signal Vdet corresponding to the change in electrostatic capacitance occurring between the driving electrodes COML and the touch detection electrodes TDL themselves; and a control unit 11 which stops application of the driving signal Vcom to driving electrodes COML other than driving electrodes which exist in driving areas adjacent to an interference part 66 out of the plurality of driving areas L and R and are applied with the driving signal Vcom, at the timing of applying the driving signal Vcom to the driving electrodes COML existing in the interference part 66. |
