PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of accurately detecting the end position of a paper sheet, thereby highly precisely align an image and the paper sheet, even when follow-up printing is performed.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an image forming part forming the image on the paper sheet, a deviation detection part arranged at the upstream of the image forming part in a paper conveyance direction and detecting the position in the width direction of the paper sheet by performing scanning from the center in the width direction toward an end, when the position to be detected of the paper sheet conveyed to the image forming part passes through, an alignment part aligning the paper sheet and the image, based on the detection result of the deviation detection part, and a control part resetting information on deviation correction, including the position to be detected, when the paper sheet on which the image is formed in a previously set position to be detected is used. |
