The present technology pertains to an imaging device such that rotation in a specific direction can be controlled. This imaging device is equipped with: an optical block formed by a lens; an imaging block formed by an imaging element; a lens tube that houses the optical block and the imaging block, and has a spherical rotary sphere part larger than a hemisphere; a support member in which a circular aperture having an inner diameter smaller than the diameter of the rotary sphere part is formed, with the rotary sphere part placed on the outside of the aperture; and a retaining member in which a circular aperture having an inner diameter smaller than the diameter of the rotary sphere part is formed, with the rotary sphere part housed on the inside of the aperture, thereby preventing the removal of the lens tube. The imaging block is arranged within the rotary sphere part, and at least a portion of the optical block is positioned in the interior of a virtual complete sphere obtained by extending the spherical surface of the rotary sphere part. Two grooves are provided in the surface of the rotary sphere part, and a protruding part that touches the surface of the rotary sphere part is provided on the retaining member. The present technology can be applied to dome-type cameras. |
