<p>Heat exchangers are manufactured by forming a fin element from a flat elongated strip, and fixing the fin element helically and mainly radially on a tube with the aid of a squarely reversed inner edge. The strip is provided with spaced apart, similar transverse cavities along one lengthwise edge, these cavities terminating some distance from the opposite straight lengthwise edge, and forming intermediate transverse lips, whose end parts are perpendicularly reversed, and fixed onto the tube. The shape of the strip facilitates its fixing to the tube.</p> |
