POLYOLEFIN ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

The invention provides an adhesive formulation comprising an olefin block copolymer comprising hard blocks and soft blocks wherein the hard blocks comprise 4-8 mol % comonomer; and are present in an amount of 20 wt %-45 wt %. This formulation is particularly advantageous for use in hot melt adhesives but may be used in other applications as well.

1. Adhesive composition comprising:
a. Olefin block copolymer comprising ethylene and an alpha-olefin comonomer, wherein the olefin block copolymer comprises:
1) hard blocks, wherein the hard blocks comprise 1-8 mol % comonomer; and wherein the hard blocks are present in an amount of 20 wt %-45 wt %, by weight of the olefin block copolymer;2) Soft blocks, wherein the soft blocks comprise 10-14 mol % comonomer; and wherein the olefin block copolymer has a Mw of 15,000 g/mol-100,000 g/mol, a total crystallinity of 5 wt %-30 wt %, a Tm of 60° C. to 115° C., and, a Tc of 45° C. to 100° C., b. Tackifier; and, c. Oil.
