<p>The present invention relates to a method for controlling edge masks of a cooling device, wherein the number of edge masks to be driven and the depth thereof are adjusted according to the temperature in the width direction of a hot rolled coil and the convey speed thereof which are measured at one side of a cooling device in order to control the edge masks to have a uniform thermal profile in the width direction. Therefore, it is possible to control the temperature of the hot rolled coil in the width direction, produce a hot rolled coil of a uniform material, and produce a hot rolled coil of a material having no waves. In addition, the edge mask of a final bank is adjusted on the basis of the temperature of the hot rolled coil in the width direction, which is measured at the output side of the cooling device, such that a computed temperature error in the width direction can be compensated.</p> |
