The present invention relates to a method in which a hardware device, including a calculating part including multiple calculating units and a memory electrically connected to the calculating part, converts a conservative physical quantity, displayed on a latitude-longitude coordinate system including multiple unit latitude-longitude areas, into a first cubed-sphere coordinate system including multiple unit cubed-sphere grid areas. The method includes a first step of determining unit latitude-longitude areas overlapped with each of the unit cubed-sphere grid areas; and a second step of calculating the overlapped extent of the unit latitude-longitude areas overlapped with the unit cubed-sphere grid areas. The first step includes a step of determining multiple vertex areas, including first vertexes of the unit cubed-sphere grid areas, among the unit latitude-longitude areas, for each of the unit cubed-sphere grid areas; a step of determining first intersection points, in which grid lines placed between the vertex areas and defining the unit cubed-sphere grid areas intersect with a latitude line or longitude line of the unit latitude-longitude areas; a step of determining boundary latitude-longitude areas, directly adjacent to the determined first intersection points, among the unit latitude-longitude areas; and a step of determining inner latitude-longitude areas, included in a closed area surrounded by the vertex areas and the boundary latitude-longitude areas, among the unit latitude-longitude areas. |
