[Problem] To provide a wire rope vibration prevention apparatus for a rope-trolley-type crane, having a low cost and comprising a simple structure. [Solution] A wire rope vibration prevention apparatus for a rope-trolley-type crane (1), provided with: a horizontal member (5) arranged horizontally; a winding drum (7) on which a wire rope (6) can be wound, the winding drum (7) being installed along the horizontal member; a main trolley (8) capable of moving between the front-end section (5f) and the rear-end section (5r) of the horizontal member; and a hanger (9) provided on the main trolley and suspended from the wire rope via a trolley sheave. The wire rope vibration prevention apparatus includes: a tension detection means (24A, 24B) for detecting the tension from moment to moment on the wire rope; and a tension control means (20, 30) for controlling the tension on the wire rope so that the fluctuation component of the tension on the wire rope is reduced in response to the tension on the wire rope detected by the tension detection means.
