<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor capable of preventing cracks from occurring in a ceramic element body from the vicinity of a wraparound tip portion of an external electrode and having high reliability.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic capacitor 50 includes: a ceramic element body 10 including a dielectric layer 1 and a plurality of internal electrodes 2 disposed on a plurality of borders between the dielectric layers; and an external electrode 5 conducting with the internal electrodes, and is configured so that the external electrode includes a Cu sinter metal layer 12 and a Ni plating layer 33 formed so as to cover the Cu sinter metal layer; and a size A of Cu crystal particles present on a border between the Ni plating layer 33 and wraparound tip portions R1, R2 which are tip portions of a region where the Cu sinter metal layer wraps around the first and second principal surfaces 11a, 11b and a first and second side surfaces 31a, 31b of the ceramic element body 10 is set to be smaller than a size B of the Cu crystal particles present inside the wraparound tip portion.</p> |
