<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce noise terminal voltage and field intensity in individually heating divided areas of fixing means, which are obtained through division into plurality.SOLUTION: In image forming apparatus 1, a fixing device 70 includes a fixing belt 41 that is heated while being divided into a plurality of divided areas in the main scanning direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of paper P on which a toner image tg is formed on the basis of image data, and a heating member 46 heats the fixing belt 41 for each of the divided areas with PWM-controlled drive power. The fixing device 70 includes a control unit 50 that divides the paper P into an image area where a predetermined amount or more of toner image tg based on the image data is present and a non-image area other than the image area, heats at least the divided areas corresponding to the image area with the heating member 46 to a predetermined fixing temperature, and makes a PWM frequency of the drive power to the heating member 46 for each of a plurality of groups, which has been obtained by classifying the plurality of divided areas.</p> |
