<p>Inspection apparatus for indicating the presence of a body of noxious material, such as explosive, in a container 10 comprises nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus including a magnet 3 which applies a magnetic field to the material. An RF field is applied to the material to cause nuclear magnetic resonance of the material. The resulting RF signals are detected 17,19,23. The detected signals are processed by an imager 25 to construct an image of the body. The image is displayed on a visual display unit 27.</p> |
