PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology related to data conversion, capable of outputting data that corresponds to an N-bit output value by inputting data that corresponds to an input value that can be represented in N bits or less, and then performing an interpolation calculation.SOLUTION: A data converter is supplied with data corresponding to an input value which can be represented in N bits or less, and then performs an interpolation calculation to output data that corresponds to an N-bit output value. It includes a lookup table which stores a reference value including a value represented in the number of bits larger than N bits, as the reference value compressed to such a value that can be represented in N bits, an interpolation calculation section which calculates an interpolated value by performing an interpolation calculation with an input value with reference to a compressed value corresponding to a reference value stored in the lookup table, and an extending interpolation output section which performs a decompressing calculation corresponding to the compression on the interpolated value and outputs the decompressed value which is calculated by the decompressing calculation as the data corresponding to an output value of N bits. |
