Boom 3 adapted to be carried by a vehicle 1 for distributing an agricultural product over arable land, the boom 3 comprising or carrying a hopper 9 and adapted to be rotatable relative to the vehicle 1 from an operating orientation to a stowed position. The boom 3 can be formed from inner 3A and outer 3B sections that are connected together and able to fold towards and away from one another. The hopper 9 may form an integral part of the boom 3 and provide a mounting point 9A about which the boom 3 is carried by a tractor 1. A metering system 12 may be mounted underneath the hopper 9 and arranged to receive agricultural powder, granules or pellets and transfer said product to ducts 7A, which carry the product to distribution points spaced along the boom 3. A boom structure 2 can include two booms 3 mounted to either side of a tractor. |
