The present invention relates to a vertical pontoon type semi-rig and, more specifically, to a vertical pontoon type semi-rig which can improve a response to a motion of a heave by increasing a distance between the surface of the water, and a pontoon while maintaining the function of the pontoon; and can improve work efficiency on the sea and provide a stable environment for workers by stabilizing work on the sea. According to the present invention, the vertical pontoon type semi-rig comprises: a main deck; a column to support the main deck; and a vertical pontoon vertically installed in the column to provide buoyancy.
