<p>PURPOSE: A terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to conveniently simply write a foreign language character using mother tongue character or voice. CONSTITUTION: In a touch screen(151), a window for character input of a user is displayed. A microphone(122) receives a voice signal corresponding to the first language pronunciation of the second language character from the user. A voice/character converting unit(181) converts the voice signal to the second language character. If touch for writing the second language is sensed when the first language is written, a controller(180) converts the first language writing mode to the second language writing mode. The controller writes the second language character converted through the voice/character converting unit on a character input window.</p> |
