<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable prevention of unnecessary ignition near top dead center at the initial ignition after engine cranking start.SOLUTION: A control device of an engine combusts fuel in a combustion chamber using ignition of a spark plug 12 and reciprocates a piston to convert reciprocating motion of the piston to rotary motion of a crankshaft. The device includes: a crank angle sensor 25 detecting a rotation angle of the crankshaft; and an ECM 23 controlling the spark plug so that it performs ignition near top dead center of the piston based on signals from the crank angle sensor and the like. The ECM 23 determines whether the ignition of the spark plug 12 near top dead center at the initial ignition after engine cranking start is appropriate or not, and controls to inhibit the ignition when the ignition is not appropriate.</p> |
