PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an elastic bush having a required low rigidity ratio by making it possible to set a rigidity ratio or the ratio between the rigidity in the axial direction of a central shaft and the rigidity in the radial direction at a lower value.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an elastic bush for a running vehicle made of a metallic central shaft 7, an outer member 11 of a metal cylinder shape and an elastic material 10 made of rubber and interposed between the central shaft 7 and the outer member 11, there are prepared: the central shaft 7 having an inclined outer peripheral surface 13 having a smaller diameter becoming smaller to the right and left ends; an elastic material 10 having an inclined outer fitted part 10A for covering the inclined outer peripheral surface 13; and an outside member 11 armoring the elastic material 10. After an externally fitting step (a) is performed in which the outside member 11 is slid in an axial direction P to fit the elastic member 10 externally, a compression step (b) is performed in which a corresponding part 11t fitted externally on the inclined outer fitted part 10A in the outside member 11 is worked into a diametrically reducing manner thereby to pre-compress the inclined outer fitted part 10A of the elastic material 10. |
