PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antioxidant composition which has higher stability than ascorbic acid/tocopherol-based antioxidants, can exhibit an excellent antioxidant effect equal to or higher than that of the ascorbic acid/tocopherol-based antioxidants and is suitable for the recovery or improvement of various inflammations or diseases, and to provide a cosmetic preparation containing the same.SOLUTION: There are provided: an antioxidant composition composed mainly of a mixture of flavonoids and gallic acid; and a cosmetic preparation containing the antioxidant composition.
