<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when at least one of a plurality of fixing units is disabled due to a failure, no image cannot be formed during maintenance, thereby causing downtime.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus having a plurality of fixing units includes independent recording medium conveyance paths for each of the fixing units. The fixing unit includes one or a plurality of fixing members. When at least one fixing unit is in operation, an operator is notified of a fixing unit not in operation, as a removable fixing unit, which can be removed during operation, thereby reducing downtime.</p> |
