<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform charging processing so that the surface potential of a latent image carrier becomes the maximum charge potential to suppress the occurrence of unevenness in charging potential, and suppress a variation in image quality, such as glossiness of images due to a reduction in absolute value of the charging potential of the latent image carrier according to a change in characteristics of the latent image carrier without requiring the control of imaging conditions.SOLUTION: The capacitance C of a latent image carrier, the absolute value Vof the maximum charging potential that can be taken by the latent image carrier, and the absolute value Q of the amount of charge supplied to the latent image carrier per unit area through charging processing satisfy the following relational expression (1): C×V<Q≤1.5×C×V; the flow start temperature Tof toner, 1/2 flow temperature T, and flow end temperature Tsatisfy the following relational expressions (2): T-T≤24.0, and (3): T-T≥7.0.</p> |
