The present invention relates to a resonator and a filter for wire or wireless communication. More particularly, a resonance body is electrically formed by using two dielectric resonators which are separated from each other. The resonator body relates to a triple-mode resonator has three orthogonal resonance modes and a triple-mode filter using the same. An existing band pass filter has a dielectric resonance element which uses a resonance mode. So, it requires dielectric resonance elements and cavities to form a multiple-mode pass filter and also additionally requires a combination unit for combining each dielectric resonance element. A triple-mode filter according to the present invention includes a housing having a cavity, a lower resonator and an upper resonator which are received in the cavity of the housing and are separated from each other by a preset distance, an input connector and an output connector which is formed in the housing and transmits an input/output signal, a first coupling loop of combining the input connector and a resonator and a second coupling loop of combining the resonator and the output connector, and tuning parts which combine resonance modes by coupling. Like this, a triple-mode filter according to the present invention provides resonance frequencies of the same mode by inserting two divided dielectric resonators of small size into a single cavity, thereby miniaturizing and lightening the filter and saving manufacturing costs. |
