<p>Grains of the material are treated in an appropriate liquid and are electrically charged; then, suspended, are deposited on a mandrel or support dipped, in the suspension, of the opposite polarity. Some mandrel surface parts dipped in the suspension are coated with an electrical insulator, to prevent deposition of the sinterable material on those parts. Preferably, the insulator is in the form of rings, od dia. slightly less than the mandrel o.d., e.g. of PTFE; they are strung on the mandrel, to obtain tubular segments after deposition.</p> |
