Disclosed are antimicrobial and adjuvant compounds according to Formulae Ia and Ib where the substituents are as defined herein. Also disclosed are prodrugs and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof of the compounds and the use of the compounds as antimicrobials and in the manufacture of medicaments for the treatment of microbial infection.
