A processor system and method using a variable length instruction word are provided. When the system and method are applied in the field of processors, before a processor core executes an instruction, the processor core can convert the instruction into a micro-operation and fill the micro-operation in a cache system the processor core can directly access, thereby reducing a flow-line depth and improving flow-line efficiency. |
