PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide additional mechanisms for allowing a user to control a media system.SOLUTION: A remote wand for controlling the operations of a media system is provided. The wand is operative to control the movement of a cursor displayed on a screen 102 by the position and orientation at which the wand is held. As a user moves the wand, the on-screen cursor moves. The user uses the wand to control a plurality of operations and applications available from the media system, including, e.g., zoom operations, a keyboard application, an image application, an illustration application, and a media application. |
