PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge device capable of giving uniform electric charge to a surface of an object to be processed.SOLUTION: A discharge device 70 causes discharge by applying a voltage to a main discharge electrode 71 having a wire form, so that an electric charge is given to the object to be processed by discharging. A conductive member 72 which contains many openings allowing discharging electric charge generated by discharging of the main discharge electrode 71 to pass, is provided between the main discharge electrode 71 and the object to be processed. The conductive member 72 is applied with a voltage having the same polarity as an application voltage to the main discharge electrode 71, and a surface on the side of the object to be processed of the conductive member 72 has, in a cross section orthogonal to the extending direction of the main discharge electrode 71, a shape being bent so as to approach the object to be processed as advances from its central part toward an end part.
