PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument performance evaluation method for properly and generally evaluating the performance of a non-contact three-dimensional measuring instrument.SOLUTION: A measuring instrument performance evaluation method includes: a measurement step of measuring dimension data of a standard gauge having a known dimension, by means of a non-contact three-dimensional measuring instrument, by changing the conditions of a relative angle and a relative position with respect to the standard gauge, in each measurement; a generation degree evaluation step of evaluating a degree of generating the dimension data of the standard gauge by means of the non-contact three-dimensional measuring instrument, by calculating an area ratio of generating the dimension data of the standard gauge measured in the measurement step, for each condition; and a dimensional error evaluation step of performing error analysis on the dimension data of the standard gauge measured in the measurement step and the known dimension of the standard gauge, by means of a data processing apparatus, to evaluate the dimensional error of the dimension data of the standard gauge measured by the non-contact three-dimensional measuring instrument. |
