PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assessing susceptibility of a subject to acquire cancer and/or assessing a risk of cancer mortality for the subject.SOLUTION: A method comprises the steps of: determining a level of pro-ADM or fragments thereof having at least a length of 12 amino acids in a sample obtained from a male sample; correlating the level of pro-ADM or the fragments thereof with a risk of the male subject to acquire cancer and/or a risk of cancer mortality for the male subject, who has not had clinically manifest cancer and/or does not have clinically manifest cancer. |
