Disclosed is a voice control system for an air conditioner, comprising: an audio collection device (10); a voice recognition device (20) which is connected to the audio collection device (10), matches voice information with a pre-stored instruction, and outputs a corresponding instruction; a detection device (30) used for detecting an indoor air parameter; a prompting device (40); and a logical control circuit (50) which outputs the instruction acquired from the voice recognition device (20) to a main control system of the air conditioner, and controls the prompting device (40) to output a corresponding prompt when a parameter value acquired from the detection device (30) is greater than a corresponding parameter threshold value. Further disclosed is a control method for an air conditioning system using the above voice control system.
