<p>The present invention relates to a terminal and a control method thereof and, more particularly, to a terminal for executing a memo function, which is capable of providing various sizes of screens based on an object inputted by a user when the memo function is executed in the terminal and storing the object and the screens, and an operating method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a terminal includes: a display unit realized with a touchscreen; a control unit configured to set a screen for a predetermined function mode as a background layer when a memo execution mode is activated during the predetermined function mode, to activate a user input layer to be overlapped with the background layer, to input data to the user input layer in response to a touch inputted to the touchscreen, to be set with the area of the background layer or the user input layer, and to store the set area as an image file; and a memory configured to store the background layer or the user input layer.</p> |
