<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processor with a detection mechanism capable of precisely detecting the presence/absence of both rolled coins and loose coins dispensed into a coin output container 65. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting element 82 and a light receiving element 83 are provided in the coin output container 65. Whether light emitted from the light emitting element is received by the light receiving element 83 determines a detection of whether there are remaining coins in the coin output container 65. In a state in which a shutter 68 is open so as to allow coins to be picked up from the coin output container 65, the light emitting element 82 is made to perform pulse emission by a pulse emission control circuit 87 so as to detect remaining coins without influence of external light. Then, the shutter 68 is closed once so that the external light does not enter the coin output container 65. In this state the light emitting element 82 is made to perform direct current emission by a direct current emission control circuit 86 so as to precisely detect whether loose coins remain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
