<p>The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the quality degradation of an LCD device in a low temperature environment by solving a problem in the visibility of the LEC device in the low temperature environment. Disclosed are a backlight unit compensating device and a method. The backlight unit compensating device of the present invention includes: a control part controlling the operation of a backlight unit providing light to a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel; and a compensating part regulating a voltage, delivered to the backlight unit according to the operation control of the control part, based on the surrounding temperature.</p> |
