A resilient cover for a forklift tine pocket of a shipping container. The cover comprises a base 6 and a resilient flap 8 secured to the base. The flap extends from the base and substantially closes the forklift pocket. The flap may be flexible enough to deform when pressure is applied from the forklift tine or tang, and resilient enough to return to its original shape when the tang or prong is removed. The flap might be secured in the base by a t-shaped foot and slot. The base may be made of a single piece of steel, and may have sloping surfaces and/or a deflection plate 60. The pocket might be closed by two or more of these resilient flaps. |
