<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that makes the ensuring of steering stability compatible with improvement in high-speed durability and reduction in rolling resistance at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: A tire 10 includes a carcass layer 16 which toroidally extends across a pair of bead cores 14, a belt layer 20 which is disposed tire-diametrically outside of the carcass layer 16, a cap rubber 32 which is a member of a tread 30 disposed tire-diametrically outside of the belt layer 20 and is formed on its outer circumferential surface with a pair of center circumferential main grooves 42 and 44 which define a center rib 43 on a tire equatorial plane CL and with a pair of shoulder circumferential grooves 52 and 46, a base rubber 34 which is a member of the tread 30, covers the edge of the belt layer 20 and has a smaller loss tangent than that of the cap rubber 32 and whose inner edge 34B is positioned within a range L1 and a base rubber 35 which is a member of the tread 30, covers the edge of the belt layer 20 and has a smaller loss tangent than that of the cap rubber 32 and whose inner edge 35B is positioned within a range L2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
