The present invention a frozen rice cake using rice flour and a method for making the same, the method comprising the steps of: mixing rice flour and salt water to prepare a mixed rice flour material; heat-treating the prepared mixed rice flour material for 10 to 30 minutes to form a rice cake raw material; rapidly cooling the formed rice cake raw material for 30 to 45 seconds; mixing wheat flour with the rapidly cooled rice cake raw material to make a rice cake paste, followed by punching; and molding the punched rice cake, followed by rapid cooling, wherein the rice flour and the salt water are mixed at a weight ratio of 2:1 to 4:1. According to the present invention, the producing efficiency is further improved in the production of rice cake; when the rice cake is thawed from a frozen state, the texture of the rice cake is recovered to the original state for a short time at room temperature, and the inherent chewing texture of the originally made rice cake is kept intact at the time of rice cake ingestion; and a large quantity of sugar or an emulsifier for preventing hardening is entirely excluded, thereby having a pro-health and wellbeing effect. |
