<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect pest repellent film to be wound around a tree, capable of protecting a tree before withering, excellent in the workability at the time of use, to be hardly torn with a projecting object, and capable of omitting human-made recovery after use; and a method for using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The biodegradable film is configured so that polybutylene adipate terephthalate is contained as a composing resin, that the peel strength in self-bonding is at least 0.04 N/2.5 cm, that the ratio of the tensile elongation in the longitudinal direction to the tensile elongation in the lateral direction (the tensile elongation in the longitudinal direction (%)/the tensile elongation in the lateral direction (%)) is not more than 0.3, and that the tensile elongation in the lateral direction is at least 500%. In the method for using the film, the insect pest repellent biodegradable film to be wound around a tree is wound around a trunk of the tree and/or from a root exposed to the ground surface to the trunk till at least a double overlapping part is formed with the longitudinal direction as the winding direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
