<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control redialing so as to not occupy an unnecessary connection line to a correspondent apparatus to which facsimile data cannot be transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting transmission of a predetermined signal (for example, a signal) in a predetermined time from a line-connected correspondent apparatus, a main control section 201 of a facsimile apparatus 200 analyzes the predetermined signal, determines whether to redial and controls conditions of redialing in accordance with a result of the analysis. If the correspondent apparatus is, for example, a telephone set which cannot receive facsimile data, the line is disconnected and redialing thereafter is prohibited. If the correspondent apparatus is, alternatively, a facsimile apparatus that has run out of toner or paper and cannot perform a print-out, redialing is performed in a predetermined time or on receipt of a notification from the correspondent apparatus indicating the recovery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
