<p>The present invention relates to a control apparatus of a mobile terminal, which is capable of accurately controlling an external device (e.g., an image display device) based on a different between object recognition distances of object detection sensors, and a method thereof. According to embodiments of the present invention, a control apparatus of a mobile terminal includes: a communication unit configured to form a communication network with an image display device; object detection sensors having different object recognition distances, respectively; a gesture sensor configured to sense a gesture; and a control unit configured to generate a first control signal for controlling the image display device when objects are sequentially sensed by object detection sensors and the first preset gesture is sensed by the gesture sensor, and to transmit the generated first control signal to the image display device through the communication network.</p> |
