PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rechargeable lithium battery.SOLUTION: There is provided a rechargeable lithium battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator positioned between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The separator includes: a base material having a first side facing the negative electrode and a second side facing the positive electrode; and coating layers formed on the first side and the second side, respectively. The coating layer on the first side includes a first layer including an organic material, and the coating layer on the second side includes a second layer including an inorganic material. |
