Profiling of coated metal strip

A profile is imparted to lacquered or otherwise coated (non)ferrous metal strip by a continuous deep drawing process involving its passage between two rolls. Pref. the rolling plant consists of a lower hardened roll on the circumference of which is the profile whilst the upper roll is one of two smooth hardened rolls mounted above each other over which an endless belt of an elastic material is passed. The process ensures that no damage is done to the coating during the deformation process.
