<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for production of a rubber roll which can suppress variation of the thickness of a rubber member covering a core metal relative to a target value in the longitudinal direction of the core metal.SOLUTION: A chuck 94 presses one end of a second core metal 22C downward in the vertical direction, on the bottom surface of the chuck 94, and the second core metal 22C is supplied from the other end of the second core metal 22C to a supply hole 46 of a mandrel 36 while the other end of the second core metal 22C presses one end of a first core metal 22B. Since slip is reduced, compared with cases where a core metal 22 is supplied while being held with a pair of rolls, the variation of the thickness of a rubber member 72 covering the core metal 22 relative to a target value in the longitudinal direction of the core metal 22 is suppressed.</p> |
