PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing lens which is relatively wide-angle, bright, and compact, yet provides better correction for chromatic aberration as well as good correction for various aberrations, and retains high imaging performance.SOLUTION: An image capturing lens is used with a solid-state image sensor and comprises, in order from the object side to the image side: a first lens L1 having a convex surface on the object side and positive refractive power; a second lens L2 having a concave surface on the image plane side and negative refractive power; a third lens L3 having a meniscus shape, a convex surface on the image plane side, and positive refractive power; and a fourth lens L4 having concave surfaces on the object side and image plane side near an optical axis, and negative refractive power. A first diffractive optical surface is formed on one of the surfaces of the first through third lenses and a second diffractive optical surface is formed on the object-side surface of the fourth lens. With this configuration, a curvature radius r6 of the image plane-side surface of the third lens and a curvature radius r7 of the object-side surface of the fourth lens satisfy the following conditional expression: 0.0<r6/r7<0.1. |
