PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal for meter reading and a program capable of determining whether display of an amount of power use which is displayed on a display unit of a watt-hour meter is display of an appropriate amount of power use.SOLUTION: The portable terminal for meter reading comprises: a meter reading unit for reading display of an amount of power use from a display unit of a watt-hour meter; and a determination unit for determining whether display of an amount of power use displayed on the display unit is display of an appropriate amount of power use. The meter reading unit comprises: an imaging unit for acquiring a photographed image of the display unit; and a recognition unit for recognizing an amount of power use from the photographed image. The determination unit determines whether display of an amount of power use is display of an appropriate amount of power use by comparing the amount of power use recognized by the recognition unit with an appropriate amount of power use.
