PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerator pedal operation device capable of reducing production cost.SOLUTION: An accelerator pedal operation device 1 comprises: an accelerator pedal 2; a return spring 3 for applying reaction force in a return direction to the accelerator pedal 2; and a tread force change mechanism 10 for changing tread force of the accelerator pedal 2 so that resistance to the step-in of the accelerator pedal 2 is generated in a midway of stroke of the accelerator pedal 2. The tread force change mechanism 10 is a mechanism for changing the tread force of the accelerator pedal 2 by using a spring element 11.
