A system and method for determining availability of a user on a plurality of communication devices includes collecting usage data of the user. An algorithm generates a predictive availability model of a user having a plurality of devices based on previous availability data collected, using a program executable by a processor of a computer. An algorithm prioritizes the devices of the user along with their respective messaging systems, to route a message from a sender to the user based on the predictive availability model, using the program. Routing logic is configured to route the message from the sender to the user based on the prioritization algorithm.
