<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of abnormal motion and irregular sound at a moving valve system at the time of re-starting under a low cost by a simple configuration while pressure loss of oil is being restricted.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a hydraulic lash adjuster 11 comprising a body 12 having an adjuster cylinder 16 in it; a plunger 13 having a supply hole 13a to which working fluid is supplied and at the same time having a low pressure chamber 15 therein and fitted into the body in such a way that it can be protruded from or sunk into the body; a high pressure chamber 17 defined and formed in the adjuster cylinder and to which working fluid is supplied from the low pressure chamber of the plunger through a check valve 18; and an inner sleeve 14 arranged in the low pressure chamber and having a communication hole 14a at the extremity end. A passage 20a extending in a longitudinal direction of the inner sleeve and working liquid can flow is provided in the inner sleeve, there is provided a closing body 20 movable in the inner sleeve and when a slant angle of the plunger becomes less than a horizontal level, the closing body restricts a flowing of working liquid through the communication hole.</p> |
