摘要 The invention provides lightweight coated paper having good offset printability. The invention provides lightweight coated paper having good printability in commercial printing utilizing the ink jet recording system. The lightweight coated paper of the invention includes base paper, and one or more coating layers disposed on at least one side of the base paper. The coating layer includes a pigment and a binder. The total coating weight of the coating layer(s) is not more than 7.5 g/m2 per side of the base paper. The coating layer contains a polycondensate of an aliphatic monoamine or an aliphatic polyamine and an epihalohydrin compound, and a water-soluble polyvalent cation salt. The content of the water-soluble polyvalent cation salt in the coating layer is 0.3 g/m2 to 1.0 g/m2 per side of the base paper. The content of the polycondensate of an aliphatic monoamine or an aliphatic polyamine and an epihalohydrin compound in the coating layer is 15 mass % to less than 100 mass % relative to the content of the water-soluble polyvalent cation salt.
