<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing a cylinder steel shell of a steel chimney with which work for welding and fixing a reinforcing member comprised of a plate to the cylinder steel shell of the steel chimney can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: When repairing a cylinder steel shell 3 by welding and fixing a terminal part in a plate width direction of a reinforcing member 4 comprised of a plate to an outer circumferential surface of the cylinder steel shell 3, only any other portion of the terminal part in the plate width direction than a portion of the reinforcing member 4 in the plate width direction which will be brought into contact with the cylinder steel shell 3 is released intermittently beforehand just by a preset length L2 in such a manner that a length L1 of the portion becomes the preset length L1. The terminal part of the reinforcing member 4 in the plate width direction is abutted to the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder steel shell 3 in such a manner that the plate width direction of the reinforcing member 4 becomes perpendicular with respect to the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder steel shell 3. The portion in contact with the cylinder steel shell contact portion in the terminal part of the reinforcing member 4 in the plate width direction is welded over all the circumference. Furthermore, the terminal part of the reinforcing member 4 in the plate width direction at a side opposed to a side in contact with the cylinder steel shell is folded to be perpendicular with respect to the plate width direction, thereby improving the strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
