<p>An encoder is provided with a body section comprising a detection section, and a disc section comprising a pattern. The disc section comprises a first face to be used for positioning the body section with respect to the disc section, and a second face to be used for positioning the disc section with respect to the rotation axle that is the object to be measured. At least a portion of the first face is positioned at the outer side in the diameter direction in comparison to the pattern.</p> |
