<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission which has an output side disk prevented from being quench-cracked while securing necessary and sufficient effective depth of hardened zone when the inner side surface sides and the inner peripheral surface side of the output side disk are separately induction-hardened. <P>SOLUTION: This toroidal continuously variable transmission includes an integrated output side disk 71 formed by integrating a pair of output side disks. Induction hardening is applied to the integrated output side disk 71 separately on the inner side surfaces 71a and the inner peripheral surface 71b. The effective hardened zone 74 of the inner side surface 71a by induction hardening is shallower from the lower side toward the higher side of the inner side surface. Consequently, the effective hardened zone 74 of the inner side surface 71a does not overlap with the effective hardened zone 73 of the inner peripheral surface 71b by induction hardening. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
